Over the past year, we’ve had a great partnership with Café Lotus. They’ve been a wonderful coffee for our customers and our staff however they are currently experiencing supply disruptions through no fault of their own.

Café Lotus has historically been roasted to spec in Vietnam right at the plantation and sent to our distributor within one month which is what made it so fresh. Currently it is taking longer than that and it would be bad for all of us involved if we were to send you coffee that isn’t fresh.

What this means for you

In the next few weeks, we will be releasing a few offerings from a new roaster and continue operations. One of the blends has been selected because it resembled (though isn’t quite) Café Lotus’ iconic roast.

The producer of these roasts has been back and forth with us for months with quality samples but we had been dragging our feet since we were satisfied with Café Lotus at the time.

This means you’ll get to try out new blends and work with us on shaping the future of Coffeine’s offering. We’ve picked what we liked and now it’s your turn to let us know what you like.

Oh, and on top of that, our new partner roasts their beans the day before packaging & shipping it to your door. That means you’ll be getting coffee at its freshest possible point. Something we couldn’t imagine offering previously.

Will Café Lotus be returning?

We don’t have a concrete answer for this since we’re no experts on international supply chain logistics. What we will say is that we’ve been happy with the roast and would very much like to bring it back in the future.
